|Equipped with a fast, dual-core processor with no external computer required, the M2GO answers the demand for a more powerful lighting console in a smaller form. It offers a professional level of features in a portable package and has been developed with cost, ergonomics, feature set, size and weight in mind. The M2GO is a unique, portable and powerful lighting console.|
Filling the gap
The M2GO comes at a perfect time when demand for a more powerful console in a smaller form factor is high. The M2GO is the result of listening to and understanding customer needs and has been developed with cost, ergonomics, feature set, size and weight in mind. The result is an attractive looking console with a lot to offer.
Ease of use
The surface is clean and easy to navigate with fewer buttons and options to overwhelm the user. The M2GO avoids sub-menus, hidden functions, multi-functions per button, shift keys and other counterproductive methods used on other lighting consoles. Using an external screen, the M2GO displays all needed information through a series of contextual windows. No longer must the user remember complex key combinations or where this or that function is hidden.
Employing skilled industrial designers, as well as gathering feedback from several console operators, the Martin M2GO design shows remarkable ergonomic qualities. Transport of the M2GO for example was one of the main considerations. Because it is light weight, it can be easily transported under one arm and is light enough to be checked in as luggage at the airport in a standard suitcase.
External video screen
There are a few ways to add more universes to the M2GO. First, it is possible to purchase a 2-universe expansion license P/N 39808031. The additional universes will then be available through Artnet network protocol or the Martin DUO DMX device. It is also possible to enable the universes by using certain Martin products. Connect any MaxModule to the M2GO to enable two additional universes or use the Ether2DMX8 to enable all of the eight possible universes.
The Button, Playback and Submaster MaxModules can be connected to an M2GO to give even more direct access to playback, fixture selection, groups, presets, etc. It is up to the user to select the most efficient playback surface for their show.
Power on Demand
In addition to the MaxRemote application, M2GO supports the OSC protocol. Using the iPhone/iPad TouchOSC application, it is possible to control virtually any function of the M2GO remotely. Finally, there is the Mx Manager which offers Internet, Serial and Telnet remote options as well as scheduled operation via calendar and time-of-day rules.
Networking and tracking backup
The M2GO software is a no-nonsense design. Simple windows and menus are all designed to be used with a touchscreen or mouse, and access to anything is rarely more than one or two clicks away.
