Digital Calibration Method:
1. Set the JEM CALIBRATION BOX to the required mV setting (See Temperature Calibration Program for correct settings).
2. Make sure the RAMP BUTTON on your CALIBRATION BOX (GREY) is ON (IN).
3. Disconnect the THERMOCOUPLE from the PCB.
4. Connect the RED TERMINAL of the CALIBRATION BOX to the POSITIVE (+)
THERMOCOUPLE connector of the DMX / PROGRAM PCB.
5. Connect the BLACK TERMINAL of the CALIBRATION BOX to the NEGATIVE (-)
THERMOCOUPLE connector of the DMX / PROGRAM PCB.
6. Move the TCAL jumper across one pin.
7. Your machine is now in CALIBRATION MODE.
8. Turn the CALIBRATION BOX on.
9. Turn your machine on and observe the DISPLAY (if it has one) or check the LEDS are flashing to notify of calibration mode.
10. If you have a display you should have a number displayed (The actual figure is not important as long as it is above
85 and below 130)
11. Count to 10….
12. Remove the TCAL JUMPER from the PCB and observe the DISPLAY / LEDS.
13. The message CAL should be displayed briefly or the LED will flash slowly.
14. Turn the machine OFF.
15. Replace the TCAL jumper back to its original pin position.
16. Disconnect the CALIBRATION BOX from the THERMOCOUPLE connectors.
17. Replace the THERMOCOUPLE onto the DMX/PROGRAM PCB (PRE 11/06: YELLOW = +
BLUE = - / POST 11/06: BLACK = + WHITE = -)
18. Turn the machine on and observe the DISPLAY/LEDs show the correct values.
19. TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION IS NOW COMPLETE.
20. Check the calibration value of the machine using a digital volt meter to ensure the red led goes off at the required mV reading.

Analogue Calibration Method:
1. Set the JEM CALIBRATION BOX to the required mV setting (See Temperature Calibration Program for correct settings).
2. Make sure the RAMP BUTTON on your CALIBRATION BOX (GREY) is OFF (OUT).
6. Your machine is now in CALIBRATION MODE.
8. Turn the CALIBRATION BOX on.
9. Turn your machine ON.
10. Adjust the TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION POTENTIOMETER until the RED LED on the main pcb is FLASHING
11. Press the GREY RAMP button to ON (IN)
12. The RED LED should go OFF
13. Press the RAMP button to OFF (OUT)
14. The RED LED should FLASH again. Adjust again if necessary.
15. Turn the machine OFF.
16. Disconnect the CALIBRATION BOX from the THERMOCOUPLE connectors.
17. Replace the THERMOCOUPLE onto the DMX/PROGRAM PCB (PRE 11/06: YELLOW = +
BLUE = - / POST 11/06: BLACK = + WHITE = -)
18. Turn the machine on.
19. TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION IS NOW COMPLETE.
20. Check the calibration value of the machine using a digital volt meter to ensure the red led goes off at the required mV reading.
