OSRAM has introduced a series of lamps called the SharXS HTI series. SharXS stands for short arc, extreme seal.

The SharXS HTI 1200W/D7/60 (1200 W, 7 mm electrode gap, 6000 K color temperature) has replaced the current HMI 1200W/S used in the MAC 2000 series. While the name has changed, technically, the lamps are the same. The dimensions, electrical properties and photometrical data remained unchanged.
