The front glass in the Exterior 600 and Exterior 600 Compact is liable to crack if the center of the front glass is masked or covered over (for example, with sand or sticky tape).
The front glass in these products must be kept clear of accumulated sand, dust, leaves, bird droppings, etc. at all times. It is especially important to bear this in mind if construction work is being carried out near the luminaires, or if the luminaires are installed in sandy or dirty environments. Never try to mask the light beam by covering the front glass in any way or sticking anything on the front glass.
Masking or covering the front glass will cause undue heat buildup, and this may result in damage that is not covered by the product warranty.
