The fans and air filters in the MAC 2000 (and all other lighting fixtures) must be cleaned regularly to maintain sufficient cooling. When they get clogged up with dust, the fixture overheats and the life of the lamp and other components is greatly reduced.
The clogged fan shown is from a MAC 2000 Profile with 2500 hours. Overheating caused the lamp failure after 200 hours and damaged wires and insulators.
The cleaning schedule varies greatly depending on the operating environment. Inspect your products frequently and clean them as required to prevent significant buildup of dust, fog residue, and other foreign materials.
