Experience has shown that the 3000 hour OSRAM HSD 575 lamp, also known as the HSD 575/72, is not fully compatible with Martin´s 575-watt magnetic ballast fixtures.

Though the HSD 575 works well in some of these fixtures, known-good lamps can fail to strike due to the fact that the lower end of the starter´s specified voltage range is less than the 3 kV needed to strike it. The HSD 575 and HSD 575/72 are therefore not suitable for use in the following products:

• Exterior 600
• Exterior 600 Compact
• MAC 500, magnetic ballast models 
• MAC 600, magnetic ballast models
• MAC 600 NT, magnetic ballast models
• RoboScan Pro 918

If 7200K color temperature is critical, you can use the Philips MSR 575/2 or OSRAM HSR-575/72. Otherwise, we recommend the Philips MSD 575 because of its longer lamp life.
