It is physically possible to fit a 54 Watt T5 fluorescent tube in a Cyclo designed for 28 Watt tubes. Cyclo ballasts and igniters can generally also handle the increased power.

However, all Cyclos are designed to meet specific thermal specifications. Installing 54 W tubes in a Cyclo designed to accept 28 W tubes will almost certainly cause overheating, resulting in damage that is not covered by the product warranty. Even more serious, such overheating presents a fire risk that could have disastrous consequences.

Approved lamp types and wattages are always listed in Martin product specifications. Never install a lamp that is not explicitly approved for the product and model concerned. If in any doubt about whether a particular lamp is suitable for a Martin product, contact Martin dealers or the Martin Service Hotline for assistance.
