3032 Controller software installation problems are usually due to failure to keep the directory structure when copying the files to diskettes.
- If you are using the DOS version of pkunzip, use the following syntax to unzip the download file:
pkunzip -d <zip-filename> a: - All subdirectories must be copied to the diskettes. If using DOS (most versions), this can be done by changing to the diskX directory and entering the DOS command "xcopy *.* /s a:/" .
- The diskettes must be blank and formatted without system files.
To update or install from floppy disks:
- Download the latest version of the controller software.
Unzip the download file. It is vital that the zip files are unpacked WITH the directory structure intact. If you are using the DOS version of pkunzip use the following syntax:
pkunzip -d <zip-filename> a:- Prepare 4 floppy disks. The disks must be blank and formatted without system files.
- Copy the contents of the 4 directories to the floppy disks. All subdirectories must be copied to the diskettes. If using DOS (most versions), this can be done by changing to the diskX directory and entering the DOS command
xcopy *.* /s a:/ - Insert disk 1 into the drive and execute install.exe if it is a first time installation or update.exe you are updating an earlier version.
Update notes are accessible from within the software: UTILITY/VIEW/UPDATE NOTES, or by reading the update.txt file.
