Instructions:
- Download and extract the software package
- Place it on a USB memory device and plug that into the P3 System Controller
- On the P3 System Controller, go to Hardware Setting -> Firmware to start the update
New Features & Improvements:
- FreeScale mode, allowing canvas upscaling
- Easy-Hit / Auto-Magnify for small fixtures where number is not readable
- Align Tool for easy alignment of fixtures on the workspace
- Spread Tool for easy equal spreading of fixtures on the workspace
- Keyboard shortcuts for align & spread tools
- Shift + arrow keys move fixtures at 1/10th of pixel pitch
- Editing Device/Fixture number now waits for confirmation with enter
- Testpatterns are now drawn on workspace when activated (setup view & video input view)
- Testpatterns are no longer limited by viewport/scaling/offset settings
- Can activate testpatterns as background in setup view
- Can activate video input as background in setup view
- Can display background image / stage drawing in video input view and render video over it
- New DMX mode for legacy fixtures: Hybrid Mode (allowing pixelmapping thru Art-Net and fixture-per-fixture toggle between video and pixelmap)
- New DMX mode for legacy fixtures: PixelMap Mode (allowing pixelmapping thru Art-Net but no video)
- Art-Net input universes on P3-050/150 increased to 128
- Art-Net input universes on P3-300 increased to 64
- Simplified Art-Net 1-3 vs Art-Net 4 handling
- Art-Net IP address defaults to standard-suggested address
- Added option for loss of DMX/Art-Net (hold values or blackout)
Bug fixes:
- Fixed issue in running layout wizard with testpatterns active
- Fixed spacebar to temporary scroll drag in video input view
- It is not possible to ctrl-click deselect a device that was lasso-selected
- DMX & Motion live values view no longer wasting space on filtered universes
- Various fixes in ArtPollReply packets
- Software upgrade could fail when executed under heavy load
- Fixed some crashes
- Various minor text-corrections
Known issues:
- Displaying testpattern on VDO Face 5 sometimes leaves a few pixels black (can be fixed by giving it another Number)
- Toggle Fixture/Device Selection Keyboard shortcut broken on P3-050/100/150/200/300
Warnings:
- Please update EC-10 panels to firmware 3.0.0, using a P3-100/200/PC running 3.1.1 or newer, BEFORE connecting them to the P3-050/150/300
- Please update EC-20 panels to firmware 3.0.0, using a P3-100/200/PC running 3.1.1 or newer, BEFORE connecting them to the P3-050/150/300
- Please update P3 PowerPort 1500's to firmware 1.2.1 or newer, using a P3-100/200/PC running 3.1.1 or newer, BEFORE connecting them to the P3-050/150/300
