A Perfect Circle Rocks Florida’s Sunrise Musical Theatre
2001년 03월 02일
A Perfect Circle, vocalist Maynard James Keenan´s musically talented new group which burst onto the music scene last summer, is currently touring in support of their first CD release Mer de Noms.
On February 21, 2001 the band played a sold out show at Sunrise Musical Theatre in Sunrise, Florida just minutes away from Martin Professional, Inc.’s new headquarters also located in Sunrise.
Lighting Designer Dan Boland programmed a powerful and high energy lightshow using 8 Martin MAC 2000s along with assorted conventional fixtures. Lighting was provided by Ed & Ted's based in Los Angeles, California who were able to provide an appreciative Boland with a full rig for a weekend of valuable pre-production time.
Dan Boland, one of the first to use the MAC 2000 on tour in the USA, is very pleased with the fixtures. "The MAC 2000s are very bright and have a great color mixing system,” he stated. “And I love the variable CTC. The fixtures have performed flawlessly.”
The Martin US staff was very impressed with Dan´s use of the MAC 2000s in the "NO FOLLOW SPOT" show he designed. Keeping the performers well lit for the audience without the use of conventional follow spots while creating a mesmerizing lighting display, Dan has created a “must see” show and MAC 2000 show case.
The Winter Tour 2001 continues through March with a possible European leg to be added thereafter.
