Since its release, Martin’s PSP-12 (Power Switch Pack) has provided easy DMX control of lighting fixtures and other devices in a number of indoor and outdoor installations around the world. Useful wherever DMX power control of an installation is needed, it is not only a reliable way to control a power installation, saving time, it can noticeably reduce installation costs as well.

Martin Scandinavia has utilized the PSP-12 on a number of top installations.

B-Young Retail Store
B-Young is one of Scandinavia’s largest fashion companies with several clothing brands, among them B-Young and ICHI. B-Young’s Stockholm store was seeking a dynamic lighting system and contacted Martin Scandinavia to develop a lighting solution.

Martin Scandinavia supplied and installed compact color changing MAC 250+ profile spot and MAC 300 wash luminaries for slow color fades and logo projection across the main store windows, cloth banners, and POP displays. The lighting scheme was preprogrammed on a PC based LightJockey controller with a PSP-12 running and distributing DMX to the Martin fixtures.

Fields Department Store
Copenhagen´s new flagship mega-mall, Fields, Scandinavia´s largest shopping center, opened earlier this year with a special indoor and outdoor Martin Architectural lighting scheme aimed at firmly planting Fields in the minds of Scandinavian shoppers. Some 18 PSP-12 devices power and distribute DMX to indoor and outdoor Martin fixtures.

Tucked into 750 meters of outdoor soffit are 700 Martin Architectural fluorescent Cyclo fixtures. At the mall entrance are effects from Martin MAC 2000 Performance and just inside the mall entrance are more MAC 2000 series luminaires (Wash, Profile, Performance), Martin MAC 550 effects luminaires, Alien 02 color changers and Martin CX-4 automated profile color and pattern changers. Rather than having electricians build up full cabinets, PSP-12’s were installed which allows personnel to power on groups of lights – with only one switch!

LEGO Concept Shops
LEGO outlets in Oberhausen and Cologne, Germany, as well as Milton Keynes in the UK and Moscow use the PSP-12 as a power and DMX distribution source. Toys have developed beyond simple static playthings and LEGO sought a lighting solution reflective of that. The lighting brief called for a playful and dynamic yet easily manageable lighting system. In each LEGO store three PSP-12 provide power control, distributing DMX to conventional lights and various Martin fixtures such as Cyclo 04, MAC 250, MAC 300, FiberSource QFX 150 and Alien 02 Spots.

Kupé Lounge
Kupé, a trendy lounge in Aarhus, Denmark, is a luxurious place to warm up before a concert or cool down afterwards. Ample amounts of rich color are provided courtesy of a complete Martin color changing lighting system supplied by Martin Scandinavia. Three PSP-12 devices power and distribute DMX to a system of Alien 02 Spots, Cyclo 04, Cyclo 04 Wallwash and Mania DC2 effects.

ARoS: Aarhus Museum of Art
Earlier in 2004 Seelite of Denmark produced a dynamic lighting environment for the Grand Opening of ARoS, Denmark’s new Museum of Art in the town of Aarhus. Seelite made extensive use of Martin MAC 2000 Performance, MAC 600, MAC 500 and MAC 300 fixtures, as well as other lighting. Again, PSP-12 provided power control and an easy DMX distribution solution.
