Copenhagen Night of Culture an enlightening experience
3. Januar 2001
For the eighth consecutive year Copenhagen’s museums and cultural institutions have opened their doors for a Night of Culture, a run-up to the autumn holidays, offering a unique chance for citizens to visit their local cultural facilities.
This year’s event took place on October 13th and attracted over 50,000 visitors. The idea of the evening is to allow you to sample one experience after another – hear music, meet authors, visit museums and...subways - all in a festive and relaxed spirit, and all at night.
In conjunction with the festivities the Copenhagen subway system, Metro, which is set to open in 2002, opened up its huge construction site to the public in order to give curious Copenhageners a look at what is happening underground.
