Morissette and MACs
28 Νοέμβριος 2002
I´m broke but I´m happy, I´m poor but I´m kind...Ed and Ted’s Excellent Lighting supplied MAC 2000s for popular singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette’s most recent outing.
Touring the world in support of her latest album Under Rug Swept, LDs Jim Fitzpatrick and Andy Proudfoot (7 years with Morissette) maintained the mega-artist’s signature concert looks using 18 MAC 2000s hung from a “yes-it’s-suppose-to-look-that-way” asymmetrically designed truss. A pair of Jem ZR 33 smoke machines provided the mid-air projection canopy for the MAC 2000 projection.
Sporting a slightly more ‘edgy’ sound thanks to a new band and new look, the mild makeover was evident in the set, truss and lighting design as well. The truss looks as if it was literally thrown onto the stage from above and consequently draws a lot of attention. The MAC 2000s and conventional lights therefore become an unavoidable part of the scenery.
