Robby Rosa in concert with MAC 2000

November 10th 2001 was a memorable day in Puerto Rico as beloved local singer and songwriter Robby Rosa performed one of his few exclusive concerts in his homeland. For lighting fans, it marked the first major event in Puerto Rico using Martin’s MAC 2000 profile spot.

As a packed Coliseum enthusiastically received their local hero, they got more than they expected.

Lighting Designer Eduardo "Wady" Rodriquez designed a spectacular lighting show for the special event. A large Puerto Rican flag covering the back of the stage dominated the scenery. Wady used 6 MAC 2000s at the top of the flag as the focus for his lighting design.

It was the first, but definitely not the last, major event for Martin Professional with the MAC 2000 in Puerto Rico. Musique Xpress, Inc., one of the leading rental, sales and production companies in the Caribbean, proudly made the MAC 2000 available for the special show.

Wady and Robby Rosa have a further connection. Wady has been the LD for Ricky Martin since the beginning of his career, and because Robby Rosa has written songs for Ricky, Wady and Robby know each other well....and it showed.

Robby Rosa’s variety of rock and pop songs, together with Wady’s lighting design, made for a memorable event - a perfectly coordinated show that led spectators through the complete emotional spectra.
