Instructions
- Obtain an empty USB memory device with a capacity of at least 1GB.
- Download and extract the IMG file above.
- Download an OS image flashing tool such as Balena Etcher (https://etcher.balena.io/) and install it on your computer.
- Insert the USB memory device into your computer.
- In Balena Etcher select "Flash from file" and select the IMG file you downloaded.
- In Balena Etcher select "Select target" and select the USB memory device you inserted.
- In Balena Etcher select "Flash!".
- Balena Etcher will now prepare the USB memory device.
- Please be aware that all partitions and data will be erased from the USB memory device.
- Once Balena Etcher completes the flashing, remove the USB memory device from your computer.
- On the Macula Base Station, make a backup of all needed Show Files to a different USB memory device.
- Power off the Macula Base Station.
- On the Macula Base Station, disconnect the USB cable towards the touchscreen.
- Connect a USB Keyboard to the Touchscreen USB port on the Macula Base Station.
- Connect your USB memory device to the other USB port on the Macula Base Station.
- Power on the Macula Base Station and keep pushing F7 on the keyboard until the "Please select boot device" window appear.
- Within this window, select the USB memory device as boot device, using the arrow keys and confirm with enter.
- The Macula Installer will now start.
- When asked, type "YES" on the keyboard (notice the all-capitals), and confirm with enter.
- The Macula software will now be installed.
- When instructed, remove the USB memory device and press enter to reboot the machine.
- The Macula system will now start up with the new software, and update firmware in the handles if needed.
- Once the firmware update has completed, and the software has fully started, remove the USB keyboard and re-connect the USB cable towards the touchscreen.
- Confirm the software version in the About panel.
- Perform a Hardware Check via the About panel to confirm that all handles and encoders are working correctly.

Known Issues
- Files for Import or Export via USB memory device need to be located in the root (and not in a subfolder).
- USB memory devices cannot contain more than 20 files.
- Exporting a Show File to a slow USB memory device can lead to incorrect warning messages (Show File is still exported correctly).
- Changing IP Settings requires a system reboot to complete.
