A&T Trade Has St. Petersburg Nightlife Covered
September 08, 2003
A&T Trade is so much more than Moscow. In the country’s beautiful northern second city, St. Petersburg, A&T Trade have completed a number of top installations, among them Olimpia casino. Housed in the former private residence of Princess Dolgorukaya of Russia’s 19th Century royal family, Olimpia is one of the biggest and best-known casinos in St-Petersburg.
The only casino in the city located in a real palace, Princess Dolgorukaya’s once private residence is now decorated in rich colors and gobo effects from Martin MAC 300 wash lights, RoboScan Pro 918 scanners, Acrobat effect lights and CX-2 color and pattern changers. Located in the city center and open since 1998, Olimpia has proved popular among both locals and visitors.
Plaza
One of the most prestigious and popular nightspots in St-Petersburg among modern youth is Plaza, a nightclub, casino and restaurant. Martin Architectural Alien 02 and Alien 05 color changers (Oracle controlled) help maintain a refined atmosphere that has helped the club win the city’s “Best Nightclub of the Year” honor. With daily crowds of over 600, some 1000-1500 people pack Plaza twice a week to witness "BONEY M", "SHAFT", " LONDON BEAT " and "OTTAWAN” concerts.
Neva-Da!
A unique resort opened in St-Petersburg in 2001, Neva-Da!, an imitation of an American entertainment center. Neva-Da! is a three-level game center where guests have fun with such popular occupations as darts, billiard, air-hockey, arm-wrestling, blackjack, and other games. Aggressive lighting effects from Martin Discovery and Raptor’s help maintain a lively, playful atmosphere. Symbols of America are everywhere from a portrait gallery of American stars to the Statue of Liberty to a panoramic view of Manhattan.
And others
Other Martin installs abound in St. Petersburg. Recently opened nightclub Corona for example, known for its remarkable interior design and dazzling light show, features effects from magical Martin Wizards, T-Rex effects, Atomic 3000 Strobes, color changing FiberSource fiber optic illuminators, MiniMAC Profile and MiniMAC Wash moving heads and Oracle controlled Alien 05 color changers. A PC-based LightJockey controller manages all effect lights.
Meanwhile, Martin Acrobats, Lynx, and Atomic Strobes under Martin 2518 control offer a whole new way to look at a traditional game at bowling alley 05 Avenue, while just outside of St. Petersburg popular disco, Teola, keeps clubbers on the hardwood with Raptors, Wizards and Atomic Strobes under LightJockey control.
