Back to the Future with LED’s

 

Fulfilling the request to use a lighting product that was on the leading edge of technology to be the backdrop for a high profile VIP event at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, Bob Moisan from Intelligent Lighting Creations turned to Martin’s newest LED product: LC Series™ panels.

 

The LC Series™ is a semi-transparent, modular system of LED panels, perfect for displaying video and images. Designed for stage shows, TV studios and other commercial applications, the LC closely integrates light, video and set design, offering entirely new possibilities for staging.

 

“The client wanted a new product to highlight their annual customer party,” said Bob.  “The LC panels provided a 21st Century look to this 1960’s themed party.” 

 

This is the beauty of the LC Series™. While cutting edge, its ability to project images and streamlined videos allows for a versatility that is mainly up to the taste of the designer, programmer and/or end user, in other words, almost anything is possible.

 

 “(Four) single panels were constructed behind satellite bars and a double-sided 2 m x 4 m (roughly 6’ x 12’ tall) was on display in the middle of the central bar,” said Bob. “The brightness of the panels was the highlight décor item in the highly stylized 60’s event.”

 

Industry professionals are becoming familiar with LC’s ability to be mounted to a height of 14 meters while keeping seamless image composure and it’s dimming capabilities, which allows the panels to practically ‘disappear’ into the background.
