Fuse Club lights up Brussels
May 23, 2000
When in Brussels, venture to 208 Rue Blaesstraat to experience a cutting-edge, exciting club with an atmosphere fuelled by die-hard party seekers and a Martin intelligent light show. Fuse is the premier techno club in Belgium and has been since its opening in 1994.
Fuse began as, and still is, a haven for high quality techno with a reputation for bringing in the best and most innovative DJ’s. Alongside residents Pierre, Trish & Kash and Deg, DJ’s such as Jeff Mills, Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, Dave Clarke, and many others enjoy playing here as much as the crowd enjoys partying to their sets. Dave Clarke even called Fuse the best club in the world and accepted a bimonthly residence at the club.
Martin distributor EVDV Trade of Belgium distributed a wide range of Martin gear for the cutting edge club. On the main floor Fuse features 4 Martin Pro 518 scanners, 4 Martin Pro 218 scanners, 8 RoboColor Pro 400 color changers, 4 MAC 250 moving heads, 1 Martin 3032 controller and a Jem Magnum 2000 smoke machine, as well as a Jem Stage Hazer and a myriad of conventional lighting. On the first floor of the club 4 Martin 218 scanners and a Jem smoke machine, along with other conventional lighting, provides the atmosphere. Control is from a Martin 2510 controller.
After flirtations with drum’n bass, the first floor was developed into an oasis for house-lovers with residents Frederik, St. Dic and Regis welcoming famous guests such as Kenny Hawkes, Luke Solomon, Ian Pooley, Basement Jaxx, and others.
Next to the first-rate parties, Fuse has specialized in an artistic approach of designing flyers and posters, production of a set of valuable compilations, the production of original Fuse t-shirts and the launching of new concepts. In brief, being innovative and aiming for appreciation. And it’s all complemented by a Martin Professional lighting rig!
