If you can make it here...

Based on the film starring John Travolta with music by the Bee Gees, Saturday Night Fever has had a successful Broadway run at the Minskoff Theater, not least because of the pulsing lighting effects and “get the audience involved” flair of the show.

Martin Centrepieces for example hang just above the audience transferring the theater into a 70’s disco and persuading theater-goers to dance in the aisles. Destroyers, Punishers, RoboZaps and Starflashes, with 34 RoboColor III’s and 72 Pro 400’s disguised with a day-glo blue ring to look “in period” add to the period atmosphere. Some 33 MAC 600’s and 35 MAC 500’s are used as support lighting for the musical and disco scenes.

Lighting for Saturday Night Fever was supplied by Four Star Lighting with lighting design by Andrew Bridge. Saturday Night Fever opened in London’s West End in 1998 (also with a Martin rig).
