LC Series™ Lights the Runway at Nordstrom’s Annual Men’s Fashion Show in Chicago

Nordstrom is known as being one of the nation’s leading fashion specialty retailers. Offering a large selection of the highest quality and fashion forward designs, it was no surprise that when turning to Intelligent Lighting Creations (ILC) for a spectacular visual display for their Annual Men’s Fashion Show on Chicago’s trendy Michigan Avenue, ILC was able to bring the vision to life.

Using Martin’s new LC Series™ panels and Maxedia media server, both Mike and ILC were able to create an atmosphere that would complement the designs while garnering the crowd’s full attention.

“The LC Series™ panels provided an excellent backdrop for the runway and stage area,” said Bob Moisan of Intelligent Lighting Creations. “The output of the LED’s was tremendous and created an exciting event for the audience as well as the production crew.”

The LC Series™ is a semi-transparent, modular system of LED panels, perfect for displaying video and images. Designed for stage shows, TV studios and other commercial applications, the LC Series™ closely integrates light, video and set design, offering entirely new possibilities for staging.

“When we first demo’d the product, we realized that the LC panels were easy to setup and would provide our clients with a new and exciting product for a wide variety of productions,” said Bob.

Bob is referring to LC’s simple, familiar assembly in truss mount format which allows each unit to be evenly joined for seamless image projection.

“The abilities and content of the Maxedia server gave a tremendous amount of creative control and allowed the display to vary from ‘eye candy’ to brand reinforcement.”

This is important as the LC’s dynamism in its ability to project images and video opens up a world of possibility to lighting designers, programmers and end users. With so many features, this new LED product is fast becoming a designer’s choice as it offers an all-in-one solution.

“The ‘see-through’ design of the LC panel lends itself to scrim-like applications which is very appealing to a wide variety of shows,”said Bob, who has since used the LED panels to enliven corporate special events, concerts, and corporate general sessions.

In addition to LC’s unique semi-transparent design, is the genlock feature which helps prevent light-flicker when using panels for TV applications.
