Mach Speaker Systems for Dutch Clubs

The growing popularity of Mach speakers is becoming ever more evident, witness the Dutch nightclub scene. Martin lighting distributor Fairlight of Holland has recently delivered a number of Mach speaker systems to clubs across Holland.
Matrixx
In December 2001 one of the hottest new clubs in the Netherlands, Matrixx, opened its doors. Located in the town of Nijmegen, Matrixx is a trendy 2000 capacity club where young people come to hear top DJ’s take advantage of the clean sounds from a high quality Mach audio system. Popular since its opening, several TV programs have also been produced from the club.
Patrons are greeted by a poweful Mach system featuring 8 Mach Ballister subs working with 8 Mach M30T 15 inch top boxes, 10 Mach M82I two-way near field cabinets and 2 Mach M15T full range speakers. A pair of Mach M1502Ts are used as stage monitors. All Mach speakers are operated from two Mach M20.06 processors.
Besides the Mach equipment, Matrixx also boasts a large rig of Martin lighting equipment including 12 RoboScan Pro 918 scanners, 4 MAC 500s, 12 Wizards, 17 CX-4 color changers and 3 Atomic strobes. A network of fiber optic cable is illuminated by 13 QFX and 5 CMY 150 FiberSources. Smoke effects are provided by 2 Jem Magnum Pro 2000s working with 2 Jem AF-1 fans.
Lighting design for Matrixx is by Janno Houtman and Theo van Workum of Fairlight with fiber optic design by Walter Jaegermann and Peter van Workum, also of Fairlight. Sound design is by Fairlight’s Marcel Zandbergen and René van Loon.
5611 and De Rechter
In the southern town of Eindhoven a kilometer long entertainment area full of bars, restaurants and smaller and larger discotheques has seen the installation of two new Mach speaker systems. The larger of the two clubs, 5611, is outfitted with 4 powerful Ballister subs working with 4 Mach M30T top boxes operated from a Mach 20.06 control unit.
De Rechter is a smaller club and brand new venue pleased with the very detailed mid-range sound and clarity from 2 M152I Installation Series subwoofers and 4 Mach M125I 3-way near field Installation Series cabinets.
