Millennium Showcase hits the corporate road with Martin Professional

With ten years of experience, leading North of England hire and rental specialist HSL of Blackburn has teamed up with Promo Concepts (UK) Ltd to create a new entertainment concept for the North West business community.

The Millennium Showcase is a major new initiative, designed to provide a comprehensive project management and technical services package for the corporate hospitality market place.

At the center of the Millennium Showcase is The Millennium Dome Structure, launched recently at a champagne reception with guests of honor including Colonel Sir David Trippier and the mayor of Blackburn. The presentation was complimented with a superb Cabaret floorshow with lasers, lighting and special effects, a Dalek, Star Trek Dancers and live band.

Martin MAC heads (16 MAC 500 and 12 MAC 600) provided the basis of the lightshow, with 42 RoboColor Pro 400s, 8 Pro 400 Fiber Optic units and 4 PAL 1200s all running through an Avolite Diamond 3 desk to create an amazing lighting performance.

Generating both the floor and ariel effects are a range of JEM Smoke systems. A JEM 428 unit using 4 smoke heads and 4 steam effect heads, worked in conjunction with 2 Hydrosonic HOT 2000 hazers and a single Heavy Fog HF 6500. Together they provided the ultimate environment for both the Martin lighting, and the dynamic floorshow.

The Millennium Dome is a purpose built, self contained structure, unique to Promo Concepts and HSL. Used for corporate entertainment or as the focal point for exhibitions and conferences, the dome is perfect for themed events.
