More Martin Gear Hits Broadway

Adding to the number of Broadway shows using Martin lighting, several new shows incorporate Martin´s latest lighting effects including:

Movin Out, a dance musical that follows six lifelong friends through two turbulent decades and includes 24 Billy Joel classics, has just opened at the Richard Rodgers Theater. Donald Holder designed a MAC 2000 rig with lighting supplied by GSD Productions.

Roman Polanski’s Dance of the Vampires comes to Broadway after a successful run in Europe under a MAC rig. Playing at the Minskoff Theater, the Ken Billington designed show incorporates MAC profiles supplied by Fourth Phase.

Flower Drum Song, a Broadway musical with lighting design by Natasha Katz, has just opened beneath some 20 MAC 2000 Performances at the Virginia Theater with lighting by Fourth Phase.

A number of Broadway touring shows are incorporating Martin luminaries as well. Mamma Mia, the successful show based on ABBA hits, which opened at the Cadillac Winter Garden Theater in October of 2001, is one of the most popular shows on Broadway. Lighting designer Howard Harrison specified new MAC 2000 Performances for the touring show. Lighting was supplied by Fourth Phase.

The Producers, last year’s record breaking smash hit which features a MAC 2000 rig, and which continues to sell out at the St. James Theater, is out with three touring shows, all under more MAC 2000s. Lighting design is by Peter Kaczorowski with lighting by Fourth Phase.

Christie Lites has delivered Martin MACs for the touring show of Fosse with lighting design by Vivien Leone Production Company.

And Miss Siagon, another Fourth Phase supplied show, will see a revival touring beneath 20 MAC 2000 Performances.
