Viva La Musica Latina

Renowned Latino-oriented music superstars filled the stage of the North Charleston Coliseum in December for Viva La Musica Latina.  The mega concert event - featuring acts like Graciela Beltran, Puerto Rico vocal group Son By Four (pictured) and Miami’s Area 305 -- was the first of its kind in Charleston, South Carolina. 

PDA Lighting and Sound supplied lighting design, sound, and live production of the concert with Jeff Nickles as lighting director and Thomas Smith as production manager. Rufus Carson handled rigging of PDA’s eleven 10-ft Thomas truss to hang Martin intelligent and moving lights featuring MAC 2000s, 600s and 250s. MAC 2000 Profile effects were cast onto triangular, colorwashed projection scrims in an elegant and eye-catching design.
