BT Tower Information Band Shining Bright after 500+ Days

The giant electronic information screen at the top of the iconic BT Tower in London has now been operating for 500 days and the display is as captivating as ever. Made up of Martin Professional LC Plus Series™ LED panels, the 360-degree LED screen is used by global communications services company BT to display a variety of messages and visual content.

The 59 meter long by 4.8 meter high information screen is made up of 177 separate LC Plus Series panels and has endured harsh weather conditions since its installation in October of 2009. Believed to be the highest of its kind in Europe and the Americas at 167 meters above street level, the information band is visible across the city.

Successful cooperation
Martin designed, supplied and installed the custom solution in cooperation with Imagination Europe Limited, a worldwide design and events company that specializes in integrated communication. Imagination served as the main contractor and content provider on the project. Martin Professional also designed and delivered a turn-key control system for the entire setup.
