France’s MPM Company Chooses Martin LC Series™

French rental company MPM was the first in the country to acquire Martin Professional’s new LC Series™ of bright, semi-transparent LED panels. Seeking to diversify and strengthen its rental inventory - already stocked with Martin product – MPM chose the LC Series because of its power, modularity and value for money, among other assets.
Marc Morosini, General Director for MPM, commented on the new possibilities the LC Series offers, “The image is an inescapable element in the conception of any set design today, naturally in television but also for a tour, festival or any show. It is obvious that the use of multimedia systems is largely facilitated by the strong development of digital and LED technology by our profession. Martin’s LC 2140 video screens allow us to propose to our customers the integration of image as well as sound and light.”
LC Series
The LC Series is a semi-transparent, modular system of LED panels that closely integrates light, video and set design, offering entirely new possibilities for staging and perfect for displaying film, digital images and graphics. Light weight yet built tough, the panels are exceptionally service friendly and require no cumbersome external power supply. Easy to assemble, they come in a 2 x 1 or a 1 x 1 meter size.
“Besides the intrinsic technical qualities of the LC 2140 screens, we particularly appreciate the fact that every element is totally independent in terms of electrical supply and electronics,” Marc states. “We are able to realize a multitude of combinations with the screens we have, which is far from being the case with other existing products. The ergonomics of the LC 2140 is also an attractive feature. They are intuitive, easy and quick to assemble, and their transparency allows for discreet integration in a set, which is also important for us.”
That something extra
Innovative features were essential to MPM’s choice, but Marc values the more personal assets in a business relationship as well. “We have maintained close connections with Martin for several years and our inventory consists of more than 150 automated projectors, in particular a hundred MAC 2000s,” he says. “With the quality of the relationship and the ability of Martin’s technical department to react quickly, the choice of the LC 2140 was evident to us. The fact that MPM is the first company in France and one of the first in the world to equip itself with the LC 2140 strengthens the synergy that exists between our two companies.”
The Martin LC Series made its first appearance on French television on a beauty contest called Miss Lorraine - Queen of the Cherry Plum. MPM incorporated 22 panels into the set, a large central screen that measured 24m2 and 10 single panels. Miss Lorraine - Queen of the Cherry Plum was broadcast live on French channel RTL9.
