Jingle Ball Rock

 

It was a perfect way to kick off the end of the semester for high school students. Hosted by Miami’s #1 hit music station Y-100, the annual Y-100 Jingle Ball concert at the Bank Atlantic Center featured an impressive list of today’s hottest pop stars.

 

“This is a nice local event that we enjoy doing it every year,” said Omar Malpica of Paradigm Production Services (FL). “We always look forward to it.”

 

Sharing the stage amidst a full Martin lighting rig included Good Charlotte, Timbaland, Plain White Ts, Elliott Yamin, Natasha Beddingfield, One Republic, Sean Kingston, Nelly Furtado and Flo Rida. The conglomerate of chart toppers showcased a series of their most popular hits as 40 Stagebar 54’s, 30 MAC 250 Entours, 6 MAC 2000 Profiles, 6 MAC 2000 Washes, 24 MAC 250 Washes, illuminated the stage.

 

“Having an all automated lighting rig for so many bands made it easier altogether,” said Jorge Valdez of Paradigm. 

 

The flexibility of Martin’s Maxxyz console also made it easier for the team at Paradigm to maneuver throughout the many stage transformations.

Martin’s Stagebar 54 made its debut at the event. Adding a customized look to various scenes throughout the show helped give a variation of visual effects.

 

The new Stagebar 54 is a compact, powerful LED luminaire with a comprehensive color range, all-in-one simplicity and a tough temperament for the touring market. It functions as a pixel bar for displaying imagery and video or as a wash luminaire for floodlighting surfaces and stages.
