MAC 2000s complement Miss USA Pageant

Hosted by ex-Star Trek captain William Shatner, the Miss USA pageant was telecast live on television network CBS. Kandace Krueger of Texas won the Miss USA 2001 title on March 2, in Gary, Indiana yet the pageant featured more than just beautiful women.

This year’s contest was complemented with the use of 6 Martin Professional MAC 2000 profile luminaires. Greg Brunton of Design Partners completed the lighting design with lighting programming by Matt Firestone. The MAC 2000s, along with some conventional luminaries, were supplied by PLS.

MAC 2000s are also being utilized by other television networks around America including Turner Television Networks TBS and TNN which are using 14 MAC 2000s to showcase NBA action three times a week.
