Maxxyz Controls Bulgarian Techno Party

Dian Tuhchiev, a lighting designer for the largest rental company in Bulgaria, Joker Media, recently used a Martin Maxxyz console on one of the biggest rental events in Bulgaria, a techno party with DJ Carl Cox in the capital of Sofia.

“Actually I chose the Maxxyz because of Martin’s good support,” he stated. “That was 2-3 years ago. Before that I used a Case Pro II+ and I was sure that the new Maxxyz would be great. On the Maxxyz private forum R&D International takes opinions from all around the world - that's why the Maxxyz is so flexible and easy to use.”

Dian used the Maxxyz with a Maxxyz Wing extension to control a MAC rig of 8 MAC 2000 Profiles, 8 MAC 250 Entour’s, 16 MAC 600 wash lights, 16 MAC 500 profile spots, and 12 Atomic 3000 strobes, along with 6 Pal 1200s, 120 Par-64 and 8 Blinders. All Martin equipment was supplied by Joker Media (Rental Manager Ivan Gradinarov) through Martin’s Bulgarian representative, Protechnica.

Dian has worked with a number of different lighting desks but finds the Maxxyz to his liking. “I like Maxxyz, especially the new Patch functionality. It’s easy to use, fast to program, and has big possibilities. I also like the cool LCD buttons - no more wafer tape!”
