Small school productions using Martin lighting

Who says only the large theater companies can afford to use intelligent lighting.
St. Andrew’s Scots School is an academic institution with roots that stretch over 150 years. For the last 15 years the prestigious school has been producing some top theater shows. In 1997 they began using Martin lighting, first in a production of Chess and later in productions of such classics as Guys & Dolls, Pippin and Joseph.
St. Andrews has used both MAC 500 and MAC 1200 profile spots and PAL 1200 automated framing spots in their productions over the past few years. Students usually direct the lighting operation while programming gets a helping hand from local lighting distributor Megaluz.
Beginning in 2001 the school hopes to expand their use of Martin intelligent luminaires with plans to use over 20 MAC’s of different types as well as PAL’s.
