Stamp of Approval for Stagebar 54™ at French Notaries Congress

December 03, 2007

Some 3,000 people gathered at the Centre de Congrés in Lyon, France for the National Notaries’ Congress held from 23-26 September.

Lighting designer François Guillet sought to emphasize several seven-meter high kakemono-like cyc hangings through color shading, yet wanted a color temperature that differed from halogen. He also wanted colors that were clearly different from the common shades projected by moving heads using the CMY color mixing process.

Ultimately he chose Martin’s LED Stagebar 54™ as the stage setup’s pièce de résistance, using them to project decorative color onto the unique backdrops. The Stagebar 54 is a bright LED luminaire with a comprehensive color range that functions as a pixel bar for displaying imagery and video or as a wash luminaire for floodlighting surfaces and stages. With five colored diodes (Red, Green, Blue, Amber and White) instead of the usual three, the Stagebar 54 offers a broader and finer range of colors.

“The Stagebar 54L luminaires have great power and allowed me to light directly the decorative elements. The RGB colors, notably the greens and reds, and the LEDs’ orientation at the extremity of the lamp are two assets that allow for original brilliance and quality coverage,” François commented. “The fixture’s relatively light weight, easy set up and lack of light spill on the projection screens comforted me in my choice of the Stagebars.”

Lighting pre-visualization for the event was completed using Martin ShowDesigner, a PC-based set and lighting design software package used for developing realistic 3-D lighting simulations. Stage and set design was by Cap Image.
